I was born on 12 March 1984 in Siegen, where I grew up with my sister. From an early age, I was curious about new things – people, places and ideas. At the age of 16, I spent a year abroad in London, a formative time that opened my eyes to the world. There, I not only learned a new language and culture, but also discovered my enthusiasm for rugby – a sport that, to this day, I find to be unifying, honest and character-building.
After graduating from high school, I moved to Hamburg to study mechanical engineering. I was fascinated by the combination of technology, logic and creative power – understanding things, planning them and ultimately making them a reality. Today, I work in the offshore wind industry, a field that combines my fascination with technology with an awareness of sustainability. It feels good to be involved in projects that shape the future and generate energy where it is needed.
Lübeck has become my home – a city with history, heart and maritime character. I live here with my family, enjoying life between the old town streets, the Baltic Sea air and the tranquillity of the north.
In my free time, I am drawn to my racing bike. For me, cycling is more than just a sport – it is a moment of freedom, rhythm and clear thinking. On the saddle, I often find the best ideas and the necessary distance from everyday life.
I am grateful that my family is doing well – which makes me all the more delighted to be working with people who are passionate, open-minded and wholehearted about what they do to create something meaningful.
