What we do

All the three of us were blessed in our lives with great people around us, great opportunities that came up and fantastic families and friends. We always have lived in an environment of security, peace and harmony. We are very well aware that we are part of a very, very, very small percentage of the worlds` population when it comes down to this standard of life. That is why we want to take advantage of our environment and do something good. There are countless opportunities of doing good things, indeed all of us can and should do it every day in the interaction with others. We try hard to do so, but we want to do more. So we decided to found our own charity project. We raise money within our network of friends, families and others. And with this money we are going to realize charity projects in Segnegal – to give just a little, tiny bit back of our luck we have.

Our first projects were realized in Senegal; a country in West Africa. Senegal has an estimated population of about 13 million. The climate is tropical with two seasons: the dry season and the rainy season. Chronic poverty in Senegal is widespread and living conditions continue to get worse, with impact for future generations. Poverty is experienced for long durations throughout the life-course, with few changes to poverty status through different lifestages.

Chronic poverty in Senegal is not irreversible. Inclusive growth (putting the poor and themiddle-classes at the centre of wealth production and sharing; sustainable economy); human rights; open governance; geographical balance; and upward social mobility must act as the guiding principles of anti-poverty policies. Geographical setting and education are important, as poverty is predominantly concentrated in rural areas and experienced by people who have not received an education. Efforts must be focussed on developing human capital, agricultural investments, investing in areas with high employment potential, and improving food security – particularly in rural areas. Education is critical to enabling exit from poverty.

We could realize our first project in 2017, when we built a kindergarden in Senegal after collecting more than EUR 45’000.-. We could realize a second kindergarden, raising another EUR 50’000.- more. The third project will help children in Bangladesh.
